 | FREE ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS WORKSHOPS – ECO-FAIR 1ST MAY – LEEDS
Article submitted by EMMA HILL, BRADFORD ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION TRUST, on 03/04/2012 |
  | FREE ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS WORKSHOPS – ECO-FAIR 1ST MAY – LEEDS
Environmental regulations can confuse even the best of us. During 2011 there were more than 300 instances of formal action being taken against businesses in Yorkshire and Humber who had broken environmental laws. Many of these came down to ignorance, accidental spillage or poor house keeping. The Environmental Regulations workshop programme at eco-fair has been designed by the Environment Agency to explain key regulations in plain English and give you practical hands on help with paperwork and pollution prevention planning. The workshops will give clear guidance on how you can comply with the law and avoid costly prosecutions and bills for environmental clean up.
These small group sessions are all being led by an experienced and impartial expert. – Phil Conran from 360 Environmental and will cover Duty of Care, Hazardous Waste, WEEE, and Pollution Prevention. They will be interactive and practical, and give you a chance to ask your questions and have them answered.

The bulk of eco-fair's 2012 seminar programme is now online.
We have smashed our own target of having 40 seminars on offer - we actually have 50+.
We’re thrilled to announce that the Environment Agency, CO2Sense Yorkshire and West Yorkshire Travelplan are joining forces with us as eco-fair partners. Food waste experts ReFood have also very generously sponsored our programme of waste management best practice seminars.
